• Aquarium Prep (Boil & Sink): Banana stems are buoyant when dry. Boil for at least 15 minutes to break surface tension and leach out initial surface tannins. Transfer to a clean water bath to soak overnight (or until fully waterlogged) before introducing them to your display tank.
