Create dynamic, 3D climbing structures and secure natural sanctuaries for your pets.
Virgin cork bark rounds and hollow tubes are one of the most versatile, essential hardscape elements for any naturalistic or bioactive vivarium. Naturally hollowed and richly textured, these tubes replicate the tree hollows, fallen branches, and burrows that reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates seek out in the wild. Whether positioned vertically to give arboreal geckos an elevated hiding place or placed horizontally as a cozy ground burrow, cork bark tubes provide enriching shelter that helps reduce stress and supports natural behaviors.
Why It’s a Habitat Essential
- Natural Enrichment & Security: Provides dark, 360-degree security for hiding, resting, and sleeping, as well as an engaging, textured surface for climbing and healthy shedding.
- Bioactive & High-Humidity Ready: Naturally resistant to rot, mold, and breakdown, making it an enduring centerpiece in high-humidity tropical terrariums and arid desert setups alike.
- Multi-Species Versatility: Ideal for arboreal and terrestrial geckos, snakes, tree frogs, dart frogs, tarantulas, isopods, and even for mounting epiphytic plants and orchids.
- Custom Background Integration: Easily cut, carved, or foamed into custom 3D background builds to create integrated elevated planters and hollow hideouts.

Preparation & Safety Instructions
Natural cork bark is heat-treated at harvest, but natural crevices can occasionally harbor harmless outdoor hitchhikers like spiders or ants. To keep your enclosure safe and clean, we recommend a quick prep before introducing it to your habitat:
- Rinse: Brush off any loose dirt or debris with warm water.
-
Sanitize:
- Bake: Place on a baking sheet and bake at 125°F–200°F (50°C–95°C) for 35–45 minutes (always monitor closely while heating).
- Boil: Alternatively, submerge in boiling water for 15–20 minutes, then let it dry thoroughly before placing it in the enclosure.
