Husbandry & Installation Tips

1. Surface Prep: Clean the target glass or acrylic surface thoroughly with rubbing alcohol and let it dry completely before sticking down the adhesive pad. Allow the adhesive to cure for 12–24 hours before hanging the weight of the hide.
2. Humid Hide Modification: For molting spiders or humidity-loving mourning geckos, tuck a small pinch of damp (not soaked) long-fiber sphagnum moss into one of the chambers to create an isolated humid pocket.
3. Climbing Access: Anchor the lower end of the braided leafy vine near the substrate or intertwine it with existing terrarium branches to ensure juveniles and non-jumping species have effortless traction up into the hide.
4. Maintenance: To sanitize, unhook the hide and wash with warm water and a diluted, reptile-safe cleaner. Allow to air-dry before placing back into the enclosure.
