Jumping Spider Plush (Family Salticidae / Phidippus sp.)

Meet the "Cats of the Arachnid World"—Anatomically Inspired & Cuddle-Ready Beloved by entomologists and invertebrate keepers alike for their curiosity, intelligence, and expressive faces, Jumping Spiders (Family Salticidae) have earned a reputation as the gateway ambassadors of the arachnid world. While real jumping spiders are tiny—often measuring less than an inch—this 17 cm Jumping Spider Plush scales up their iconic features so learners and enthusiasts of all ages can appreciate their unique biology up close.

Available in three natural-inspired colorways (Jet Black, Snow White, and Mottled Tan/Grey), each plush highlights the unmistakable eye arrangement that makes Salticidae spiders some of the most visually acute hunters in the invertebrate kingdom. Complete with a velvety underside embroidered with "SPIDER", it makes a charming classroom teaching aid, a comforting buddy for overcoming arachnophobia, or an adorable desk companion for Phidippus keepers.

Anatomical & Educational Highlights:

• Signature Salticidae Eye Pattern: Features the hallmark forward-facing anterior median eyes (AME)—the large, binocular "headlight" eyes that give real jumping spiders high-resolution color vision and depth perception—flanked by smaller anterior lateral eyes (ALE) that detect motion.
• Fuzzy Pedipalps & Eight Walking Legs: Includes a pair of front pedipalps (the furry sensory appendages jumping spiders wave to communicate, court mates, and drum on surfaces) alongside eight soft, segmented walking legs.
• Color Polymorphism Inspiration: The three color variations mirror the natural diversity seen across the Phidippus genus—from the dark, melanistic tones of Phidippus audax (Bold Jumper) to the pale white and cryptic tan/grey morphs of female Phidippus regius (Regal Jumper).
• Tactile & Embroidered Detail: Crafted with ultra-soft faux-fur plush on the dorsal side and a smooth, velvety ventral surface featuring clean "SPIDER" embroidery on the underside.
