Establish a gold standard of habitat hygiene and protect your cold-blooded family members from dangerous environmental pathogens. At Rachel's Reptile Resource, our mission is built on elevating everyday care through proactive, welfare-first husbandry—because preventing illness is just as vital as proper nutrition and thermal support. Terrariums naturally cultivate warm, humid microclimates where opportunistic bacteria thrive. Zoo Med Wipe Out 1 provides an essential line of defense, engineered as a specialized 3-in-1 antibacterial cleaner, broad-spectrum disinfectant, and odor neutralizer. Formulated to eliminate high-risk pathogens like Salmonella and Pseudomonas at the cellular level, this ready-to-use spray makes routine maintenance effortless, keeping glass, decor, and quarantine spaces clinically clean and fresh.
Key Features
- Targeted Cellular Disinfection: Powered by Alkyl Dimethyl Benzyl Ammonium Chloride (0.13%), an advanced antimicrobial agent that penetrates and disrupts bacterial cell walls to destroy harmful microorganisms.
- Proven Pathogen Elimination: Lab-tested and proven effective against common reptile-associated bacteria, including Salmonella choleraesuis and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, reducing the risk of respiratory, dermal, and systemic infections.
- 3-in-1 Multi-Action Sanitation: Cleans away organic matter, disinfects target surfaces, and neutralizes lingering biological odors in a single, time-saving application.
- Ready-to-Use (RTU) Convenience: Pre-mixed at an optimal, animal-safe concentration—eliminating the mess, measuring errors, and chemical hazards of manual dilution.
- Multi-Surface Versatility: Safe for use across all non-porous and sealed enclosure materials, including glass, acrylic, PVC, plastic tubs, cast resin hides, slate, and feeding tools.
- Trusted Quality: Proudly manufactured in the USA under stringent quality controls to meet rigorous pet safety and sanitation standards.
Husbandry/Care Specs
- Application Protocol:
-
- Evacuate Inhabitants: Remove all reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, food/water dishes, and loose substrate from the enclosure.
- Apply Generously: Spray Wipe Out 1 thoroughly across all interior walls, terrarium floors, and hardscape accessories until wet.
- 5-Minute Contact Time: Allow the solution to remain visibly wet on surfaces for a minimum of 5 minutes to achieve full bacterial eradication.
- Wipe & Dry: Wipe all treated surfaces thoroughly dry using a clean microfiber cloth or disposable paper towels.
- Ventilation Window: Allow the habitat to air out completely for 15 to 30 minutes. Ensure the enclosure is 100% dry and free of lingering scent before returning your pets.
- Food & Water Dish Safety: When disinfecting feeding bowls or soaking dishes, always wash thoroughly with clean tap water after the 5-minute dwell time to remove any residual cleaner.
- Recommended Frequency: Perform a comprehensive enclosure wipe-down weekly, or use immediately during spot-cleans, quarantine cycles, and rescue intakes.
- Active Ingredients: Alkyl (C14 50%; C12 40%; C16 10%) Dimethyl Benzyl Ammonium Chloride (0.13%), Inert Ingredients (99.87%).
- Handling & Storage: Store tightly sealed in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight and extreme heat. Use in well-ventilated spaces, avoid eye/skin contact, and keep out of reach of children.
Compatibility/Enclosure Synergy
- Best Suited For: Glass terrariums, PVC enclosures, quarantine bins, critter keepers, hospital tanks, feeding tongs, transport containers, and artificial cage furnishings.
- Preventative Care Integration: An essential husbandry tool for preventing secondary skin infections, scale rot, infectious stomatitis (mouth rot), and bacterial eye irritations caused by unsanitary living conditions.
- Amphibian Precaution: Completely safe for frog, toad, and salamander habitats provided the enclosure and accessories are 100% rinsed, dried, and ventilated before reintroducing species with permeable skin.
- Bioactive & Naturalistic Habitats: Ideal for spot-cleaning glass walls, rim plastics, and feeding ledges; avoid spraying directly onto live plants, bioactive soil substrates, or microfauna colonies (springtails and isopods).
